CMS is so proud of Presley Lapka for placing second in Creative Lecture at the Regional Educators Rising competition at Northwestern State University on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026. Please join us in celebrating Presley, who has put hours in beyond the school day to compete and perform so well at this event. She was dressed professionally, performed with integrity, and represented Bossier Schools with pride!

These times are different at each school. To find this information on our website, please go to Cope's webpage, click the "menu" tab, look for the "Our school" column, then click on "Attendance Calculator" at the very bottom.

These CMS 8th grade ELA students earned the TOP score in their class on their ELA proficiency exam.... so Mrs. Fox rewarded their efforts an hard work with a McDonald's lunch of their choice! It's a win, win! 🏆 Way to go, Cougars!

Cope Middle School will honor our 8th graders who successfully completed the Aerospace curriculum during the science classes. Awards will be given to our top students in the classroom and on the simulator. Parents are welcome to attend. Mark your calendars now!

We recognized our Student of the Year, Hadleigh Fulghum, today for being recognized as a LA Student of the Year REGIONAL HONOREE at Cope Middle School today. She will continue to represent Cope and Bossier Parish Schools as the competion continues.
8th grade parents: CMS 8th grade yearbook salutes are available for purchase if you are interested. It's a great way to feature your student in the yearbook with a personalized message as well as creating a lasting memory! Please email Ashley.Wood@bossierschools.org if you have any questions.

We are so excited to welcome Cope Cougars back to school today! We saw lots of smiles, hugs, and even sqeals when students saw their friends and teachers! It was a great start to 2026!
Please review the simplified dress code with your student. We saw several items that students got for Chrsitmas that doesn't follow the dresscode. Please look at approved jacket color on this image. Only the 7 colors lists are approved. Also, please double check shirt and short lengths. Dress code violations will be documented and consequences issued if it continues to be a problem.
REMINDER:
White, plaid, and khaki are not acceptable jacket colors for school uniform.
White skirts nor shorts are acceptable.
Fuzzy boots are not allowed.
Lastly, please make sure students have an ID badge each day.
